Ensign historical Miniatures are a range of fine quality toy figures designed to reflect the simplicity and charm of old toy soldiers. They are a true 54mm size in the style of old Britains and Mignot.
My aim when designing this range was to produce a versatile collection of castings that could, by simple head and equipment changes, be painted to represent almost any regiment from any nation.
Carefully hand painted in traditional gloss enamels and using brass pins to attach accoutrements, they are sturdy little warriors that will enhance any collection and become future heirlooms. Flags are individually made from brass or steel rod and thin metal foil.
I do not employ any outside sculptors, all the figures are sculpted, moulded, cast and painted by myself. This I believe gives an artisan quality to my range. When you purchase one of my figures you can be sure that you have purchased an individually crafted miniature imbued with personality.
As yet they are only available painted. Figures are sold individually and unboxed.
I am also selling selected unpainted castings from my old ranges. These are in a chunkier ‘Model Toy’ style and at present comprise my Sepoy General range. These figures depict Wellington’s campaigns in India from 1799-1805 and feature British infantry, Sepoys and Native Indians.
